Explanation

Used to indicate that an action is performed after another action is completed. It is very important to remember that the verb uses the Ta-form (past) before 'ato de'.

Examples

勉強した後で、映画を見ます。

Benkyou shita ato de, eiga o mimasu.

After studying, I will watch a movie.

仕事の後で、飲みに行きましょう。

Shigoto no ato de, nomi ni ikimashou.
